Deadwood City Commission Special Meeting
The special meeting was convened to address a petition for a recall received by the city. The City Attorney stated that the city received a filing from a Commissioner regarding concerns with the petition and a request for a Preliminary Injunction, which the court granted, leading to no action being taken. Public comments were heard, but the Commission could not make motions or vote due to the court order. Residents voiced concerns about misconduct, intimidation, and retaliation, and sought clarification on the hearing date and options for filing complaints. The city code of conduct was discussed as an alternative avenue for complaints. The meeting then moved to adjournment.
