The agenda for the meeting included the election of officers. A significant portion of the meeting involved a public hearing for application PZ26-00028, submitted by Pulte Homes of Michigan LLC, concerning a proposed active adult community residential development named Everbrook. The board discussed adding the Township Treasurer as an authorized user to the DDA checking account. Elections were held to appoint officers for the positions of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Treasurer. Several financial items were approved, including blanket purchase orders for Q+M for design and marketing services, Placer AI for data analytic services, and Frank's Landscaping LLC for snow removal, as well as an increase to the RBA threshold to align with township policy. The Manager's report provided updates on property damage repairs, cross-access projects, RFP drafts, upcoming art initiatives, and external media presentations. Additionally, the board discussed future site visits and initiatives regarding food waste reduction and crosswalk lighting.
The commission discussed and recommended approval for the Everbrook Special Land Use, Preliminary Site Plan, and Condominium Ordinance Variances, involving a 55+ age-restricted active adult community development with specific requirements for drainage and maintenance agreements.
