Finance Committee Committee Meeting
The committee discussed two primary agenda items. First, it reviewed an increase in the fleet maintenance contract authorization from $450,000 to $500,000 due to rising repair costs and inflation. Second, the committee deliberated on proposed water and sewer rate adjustments for the years 2027 through 2031, shifting toward a staged, incremental increase approach to mitigate the financial burden on residents while ensuring fund self-sufficiency. Key capital projects driving these adjustments include the replacement of the carbon dioxide tank at the water treatment plant, sewer infrastructure upgrades, and planned renovations for the maintenance facility.
